The Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino ("Museum of Pre-Colombian Art") is small but very interesting. I particularly found interesting the Vitrina Chemamull wooden statues. Yes they were dark and mysterious, but for some reason I couldn't stop myself singing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

Until the first decades of the twentieth century, the Mapuche of southern Chile placed chemamull (wooden statues) next to their deceased while a long list of relatives and people gave speeches praising the dead and remembering their greatest achievements. In the final stage of the ceremony, the chemamull was erected at the tomb to mark the place where the body remained.
