Tour de Sauvabelin

At the top of the highest hill in Sauvebelin in Lausanne sits an enormous wooden tour - the design idea of which is supposed to have come from non-other-than Leonardo da Vinci.

The 302 steps lead you to a platform over 30 metres high from where one can see a panoramic view of Lausanne and the Swiss Alps. And only one cooling tower and one exhaust chimney ruin the entire landscape - but such is industrisaliation.
